Who will provide the care and how are they developed?

There is a rigorous recruitment and selection procedure which meets the requirements of legislation, equal opportunities and anti discrimination practice and ensures the protection of Clients and Care Workers.
The procedure ensures 2 written references are obtained, interviews held and police checks undertaken.
There is a fully comprehensive induction training programme and there is a continuous process of training in areas such as: Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Moving & Handling and First Aid.
The quality of the training provided will directly reflect the calibre of staff employed and their level of competence.
All staff (including managers and admin staff) are actively encouraged to participate in training and as a recognised City & Guilds Training Centre we are able to ensure care staff are qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Care.
A staff development system is in operation which allows individual training requirements and needs to be fully assessed and implemented.
